Hickory Log is owned and operated by John and LaVeda Banken, they have now owned the restaurant since 1967. The restaurant is a down home family owned and run business, managers include Jason Banken and Lance Banken. The Hickory Log was founded in 1953 and has seen many changes over the years, in 1953 the small diner could only seat 30 people. Now the Hickory Log can seat 350 including private banquet and meeting facilities for up to 150 people. Take-out is also a popular option with ribs being the most popular choice. With proper notice the restaurant can accommodate almost any size order. Shipping ribs and sauce anywhere in the U.S. can also be arranged.
